It does not activate itself

Pre-ordering is not enough. The storefront asks you to then visit the subscription's product page and complete a transaction there, at no cost, following the on-screen steps.

Without that step the month is simply not granted. It is not a bonus dropped onto the account, it is an offer to claim.

The claim itself has a deadline, well after release: until 31 March 2027. It can be claimed once per account, regardless of how many purchases you make.

It becomes paid, and stopping it is on you

The claim screen states the date on which the month rolls into a paid monthly subscription. It is written there, at the exact moment people read least carefully.

For nothing to be charged, you must go to subscription management in your account settings and cancel before that date. The subscription does not stop by itself when the free month ends.

The useful move fits in one line: claim the month, then cancel the subscription straight away. Cancelling does not take back the month already granted, it only prevents what follows.

Eight countries are excluded

The offer does not apply in the storefronts of Bahrain, China, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, the Russian Federation and Taiwan.

It is an exclusion by storefront, therefore by account region, not by place of purchase. That matches the logic of the download codes, where the account's region decides.

An existing subscriber loses nothing: the month is added to their running subscription rather than opening a second one.

What it changes between editions

Both digital editions include this month. It is therefore not a deciding factor between them, contrary to what the way offers are presented might suggest.

It is tied instead to a digital purchase made before 20 November 2026, along with the pre-order bonus pack.
