The map of Leonida
Vice City and the whole state of Leonida, as the community pieced them together from what Rockstar has shown. Zoom in, wander, find a place by its name.
What the map shows
- 2,385 places located by the community, each with the name seen in the game once it has been confirmed.
- 53 named regions, from Vice City to the Keys, which appear as you zoom in.
- The coastline and the names are drawn as vectors: they stay sharp at every zoom, on a phone as on a large screen.
- The 3D view lays the base map over the relief the community measured, with the sea at its level and the places as lights. The relief is exaggerated three times: Florida is flat.
Sources and credits
The geography and the places come from community work published under a free licence. Loreside redrew them in its own colours; the data itself is not altered, and every change made is listed below.
- Places · GTA VI Landmarks Data (CC BY 4.0) — https://map.gtadb.org

Changes made: Fields split (district and city extracted from the composite name), places without coordinates left out, rendering restyled in Loreside's colours. The data itself is not altered. - Base map · GTA VI Map Tiles (CC BY 4.0) — https://map.gtadb.org

Changes made: Community map by Yanis, version 16, as published by gtadb.org. Left legend band cropped (1200 px), resized to 3000 px wide, fully repainted in Loreside's palette, in a night and a day variant (sea, vegetation, mineral, shoreline), hill-shading added from the elevation data of the same source, inherited place names faded and replaced by Loreside's own vector labels, encoded as WebP. The geometry itself is not altered. - Relief · GTA VI Map Tiles (CC BY 4.0) — https://map.gtadb.org
Licence CC BY 4.0 · Source · retrieved on September 8, 2026
Changes made: Elevation grid decoded (16-bit, 1536 x 1748), brought into the map's frame by the measured calibration, and used only to compute the hill-shading of the base map. The values are not published as such. - Roads and water · GTA VI Map Tiles (CC BY 4.0) — https://map.gtadb.org
Licence CC BY 4.0 · Source · retrieved on September 9, 2026
Changes made: Roads and inland water traced as vector outlines from the same community map image (colour thresholds, morphological thinning, contour simplification), so they stay sharp at every zoom. The geometry itself is not altered.
Questions about the map
Is this the official GTA 6 map?
No. Rockstar has published no map and no list of places: only two names are official, Vice City and the state of Leonida. Everything here was reconstructed by the community from the trailers and the published images, and it will move as the game reveals more.
Where is Vice City in GTA 6?
On the east coast of Leonida, the state that stands in for Florida. Vice City stands in for Miami, with Vice Beach across the bay to the east, Port Gellhorn to the north-west, and the Keys stretching south.
How many places does the map show?
2,385 places and 53 named regions, all located by the community. Each place carries the name seen in the game once it has been confirmed; a place whose name is not confirmed is shown as such.
Is there a 3D version of the map?
Yes, free of charge: the 3D view button above the map lays the base map over the relief the community measured, with the sea at its level and the places as lights. Elevation, coastline, texture and places come from the source data; the relief is exaggerated to stay readable. Streets and buildings in volume do not exist: no public data describes them before the game is out.
Where does the data come from, and can it be reused?
The geometry, the elevation and the places come from gtadb.org and its contributors, under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Loreside repainted them in its own colours and lists every change on this page. The source data can be reused freely with the same credit; the Loreside rendering is covered by the terms of this site.
